In Yamagata Japan, you can eat this type of big and good taste mushroom.

Let me introduce the Funagata Mushrooms, especially Super Jumbo Mushroom.

My parents have a short trip to Yamagata, and they gave me Funagata-mushrooms as a souvenir.

Super Jumbo Mushroom

Please look at these pictures of the Funagata super Jumbo mushroom.

This mushroom’s size is over 5 inches (15 cm).

In order to enjoy this jumbo size completely, I roasted it in the oven at 200 C for 25 min.

Salt and Butter are the seasonings I used.

Very simple.

Since this mushroom has savory flavor “glutamic acid” a lot.

This dish was good.

When I took one bite, the juicy flavor spread in my mouth like meat.

Mushroom Dishes

Of course, my parents gave us not only a Jumbo mushroom but also normal size Funagata-mushrooms.

My wife cooked spaghetti with mushroom cream sauce.

The Mushrooms are very much with dairy products.

 

And you can eat this Funagata-mushroom as raw.

So we ate this with fresh salad.
